Newby Hall, Ripon is the picturesque location for the Trident Standard Distance and the Rubicon Middle Distance Triathlons this Sunday 30 August. The course is easy and fast and is set in and around the grounds of Newby Hall. Entrants can also make a weekend of it and camp right next to the race site.
The swim for both races takes place in the gently flowing River Ure, with triathletes swimming either 1500m or 1900m downstream, which could be the ideal push for those after a PB. The clean river is wide and so easy to navigate. The swim exit is fantastic, with participants having to climb the old boat access steps in front of the main hall and run through the gardens to collect their cycles.
Once on their bikes, there will be a 40 km or 90 km route to follow along fast and flat roads which hopefully will be traffic free. The run will be laps of the grounds of Newby Hall, which is great for friends and family supporting on the day, to run either 10 km or 21 km to the finish.
We would like to wish all those taking part good luck and hope that the weather stays fine and dry. Why not treat yourselves to a post-event sports massage? Contact us to book an appointment or call 0161 445 5133.
