We know that Christmas is a busy time and sometimes exercising is one of the activities that can take a back seat. However, we want to help make sure you’re starting your day well and banking some exercise goals to make those mince pies feel less guilty at Christmas!
Didsbury’s G4 Physiotherapy & Fitness are leading a ‘300km December Advent Run Challenge’ starting on the 1st December running 1km then increasing the distance daily by 1km up until Christmas Eve when we will be running 24km. Over this time, we will be covering 300km in 24 days!
We would love for as many of our clients and locals to get involved alongside us for the challenge, whether you want to try stick to the whole advent days or just join us on the odd run.
The running will be early morning starts (to be finished by 7am) from Didsbury starting from our Didsbury clinic along Barlow Moor Road. All future RV locations and routes will be confirmed later this month and on the preceding days before each run. Due to the busy build up to Christmas, weekend running will be relaxed in which we instruct people to continue the challenge themselves (or in groups) on both Saturdays and Sundays at a time that is convenient to them.
The run is a non-profitable challenge and therefore no costs are involved. During the first week, all dogs are welcome as long as they are strictly kept on a lead at all times.
Due to anticipated high interest, numbers may be limited due to safety limitations and ease of control.
