Ironman 70.3 Wimbleball 16th June 2013

This Sunday brings another big event to the world of Ironman. Wimbleball 70.3 kicks off with a 1.2 mile swim, followed by a 56 mile bike and finishing off with a 13.1 mile run. The event will consist of both professional and age group triathletes.

Wimbleball is located in the south of the country in an area known as Exmoor and the event was the very first ever 70.3 race to take place. The Exmoor event has now taken iconic status and triathletes travel from across the world to participate. Age group athletes can also take this opportunity to qualify for the Las Vegas Ironman World Championships 70.3 later on this year.

Glyn Forshaw and his team will be down this Sunday supporting his sister Amy Forshaw. Amy competed at Wimbleball last year and won her event to allow her to qualify for the World Championships in Las Vegas in September 2012. Amy later turned professional and is raring to give it a good go on Sunday after months of progressive and intensive training guided by her training analyser and advisor Rob Walton. Other connections that will be racing include both current and ex-Royal Marines that Glyn knows well from previous years of work in and around the globe.

The G4 team would like to wish each and every participant a massive good luck and we look forward to hearing back from our clients, friends and family who are taking part in the event.
