Podiatry

at G4 Physiotherapy & Fitness

Our team of podiatrists welcome all clients with many lower limb ailments and injuries affecting daily and leisure life as well as sports and exercise participation.

We see clients of all ages complaining of many low back, hip, knee, ankle and foot related problems that may exhibit symptoms such as pain, stress, stiffness, poor circulation and other neurological signs.  Many issues may revolve around weight bearing stress with daily light activities or the more intense sporting related motions.  Other issues may develop without sporting involvement which may create daily discomfort, the inability to walk without limping and impair normal functional activities. Such problems may have had either an acute or gradual onset in which an assessment is advised to identify the underlying cause, condition and treatment plan.

Our Didsbury team offer both specialist musculoskeletal podiatry and general podiatry, also commonly known as chiropody.

Our musculoskeletal podiatry service entails a full biomechanical assessment and lower limb functional examination to allow the most effective subsequent intervention to help alleviate related symptoms.  Such treatment may include strengthening and stretching advice, manual therapy and the manufacture of bespoke orthotics. A combination of the above events will help the client return to their sporting and leisure activities in what we believe to be the most effective and efficient way.

Our general podiatry service (chiropody) involves a full foot and ankle assessment in an effort to diagnose problematic foot conditions to allow for the most appropriate form of treatment to take place within the clinic. Treatments will offer symptom relief and may involve conservative management, self-management advice or minor surgery. Treatment may also assist aesthetically to those conditions that require intervention.

Our clinic believes in a true holistic multi-disciplinary approach to all conditions and the appropriate referral may be made to our physiotherapists, sports rehabilitators, massage therapists or external orthopaedic consultants in Manchester to assist with the full management of all conditions or injuries.

If you have any queries or questions about this service, please do not hesitate to contact our Didsbury Manchester clinic. If you would like to arrange an appointment, please feel free to contact the clinic or book online via our online booking system.
